The concept of a two-story villa located on a lake is a project that involves elegantly integrating the building into the landscape, while maintaining environmentally friendly solutions.
The idea of the project was to treat the elevation on the side of the lake in such a way as to minimize the effect of a sharp-edged mass cutting off from the soft shoreline.
To this end, it was assumed that the green roof would merge with the green overhang around the roof of the building. A spatial trellis was designed to allow the vine to climb at a distance and without directly interfering with the facade. Moisture and the effects of vines clinging to the facade will thus be eliminated. The functional layout was important in the design, which leaves the living room as a central open space with a mezzanine over two floors. In the spacious living room, a high glazing of more than 5 meters has been proposed to enjoy the views. The space was also illuminated from above with a skylight. Mato give the impression of being in a maximally illuminated living space connected to the dining room and kitchen.
On the entrance side, 3 garage spaces have been provided. A sauna and guest rooms have also been designed on the first floor. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms with bathrooms and a laundry room.
The total area of the villa is 420 sqm. The building is designed in a U-shape, which gives intimacy to the central part, which is associated with Italian patios. One part of the U is made up of expansive terraces, which are designed to allow outdoor relaxation even in the rain.
An outdoor spiral staircase runs through the terraces and leads to the green roof. There, there is a vantage point for observing the lake and greenery. In front of the building on the lake side, a swimming pool and a walkway to a private pier have been designed. Brick, and wood are proposed for the facade, which is complemented by raw concrete terrace elements.
